About Burundi
Burundi is one of the world's poorest nations and is now rebuilding following civil war since 1972.

Burundi has an estimated population of around 8 million, approximately half of whom are aged 14 or less. The effects of AIDS and cival war has had a significant effect on the demographics of the country.

There is now peace since elections in 2005, but the country still faces the formidable challenges of reviving a shattered economy and of forging national unity with up to 500,000 refugees now returning from camps in Tanzania and Kenya.

A quick update


I guess that this is the news that most of you have been waiting to hear. Pastor Leonard, his children and some of the orphans have now moved into the three houses.

We, as a family, are leaving for the UK mid day tomorrow and we are still packing our bags so I don't have time to put up the weekly report, however we have some pictures to share from today. They will give you some idea of what has happened this week and today. The full and detailed report will be put up once we return to the UK and find an internet connection.
